Road construction

New Zealand

Tauranga

New Zealand-based Fulton Hogan has more than 80 years’ experience in the transport, water, energy, mining, civil construction and land development infrastructure in New Zealand, Australia and the South Pacific.

For the construction of a new roundabout and road layout in the city of Tauranga located on the Northern Island of New Zealand Fulton Hogan had the total project responsibility – including all piling work. As a part of the project cofferdams made of 12 meter long sheet piles had to be constructed for bridge foundations made from concrete. For the driving of the sheet piles Fulton Hogan needed a fast and efficient method.

Their selection for the construction of the cofferdams was MOVAX’s SG-75 side grip pile driver which is capable of handling, pitching and driving sheet piles in a fast, efficient and safe manner.
