Plant Engineering Works Chrobok from Bojszowy Nove, Poland, is in charge of the foundation work for a new multi-level junction over one of Warsaw’s several railway stations. Company Chrobok is an experienced company specialized on plant engineering with the main focus on drilling and piling works.
After the demolition works of the old bridge the bases for the new bridge pillars have to be excavated. Each base is a rectangle with the size of 16 x 8 meters. Before starting the excavation process the construction site had to be supported with a sheet pile wall. The sheet piles used were GU 16-400 up to 12 meters in length. For this work company Chrobok decided to use a combination of their brand-new Movax SP60F attached to Caterpillar 325D excavator and a crane mounted vibrator. One of the big benefits of the Movax on this site is the fact that a big part of the work is conducted in a low space under and by the still standing old bridge construction.
