A drainage built in a soft soil needed a special support at Myllymäki sports park, Finland. The foundation is made of 20 meters long concrete piles on which lies 40 cm thick concrete slabs. In the gravel layer above the slabs is the actual pipeline made of concrete conduits 80 cm in diameter. Sheet piles used in this construction have been 8 to 12 meters in length.
Sports park is used around the year. During the winter season football can be played on an artificial 90m x 57m grass field built in an air dome. For summer season both air dome as well as the artificial field are deconstructed.
